Holstein Pool

Seasonal outdoor pool: Holstein Pool is an outdoor Chicago Park District pool, so it is open in summer only and closed off-season. Per the Chicago Park District, outdoor pools typically open in mid June and close just prior to the start of the CPS school year in August. Check CPD for current hours and the next season’s opening date before you go.

Holstein Pool (also searched as Holstein Park Pool) is located within Holstein Park at 2200 N. Oakley Ave., Chicago, IL 60647. The Chicago Park District facility page lists it as an outdoor pool, 50 yards, 6 lanes, with a depth of 3 ft. - 9 ft. Accessibility notes on that page: pool lift. The weekly hours below are the facility hours printed on the CPD page. They reflect the pool’s summer schedule and do not apply while the pool is closed for the season. CPD’s Sunday entry reads “10:00 pm-6:00 pm,” which looks like a typo, so Town Swim leaves Sunday out; check CPD for Sunday hours. Per CPD’s swimming-pools guidance, admission to open-swim sessions is free and lap swim requires a membership. The phone number listed by CPD is (312) 742-0249.
